Attractive Logos

By: Sumit Arora

Have you seen the logos of MacDonald, Dominno, PizzaHut, and Coco Cola? What makes it more appealing it’s not the color, not the design but the font the way it is written which makes an impact on people’s mind. For a good logo creation it’s really important is the way you design you font.

I have seen many graphic designers in the organization. They give major concentration to background color, animation, and uses heavy amount of flash in making logos. Yes they look attractive, appealing but if font is not properly shown in it then they won’t be able to make an impact on people’s mind. They may like animation but they may remember it just as a good animation and may not remember a company name. The point which I want to say is more than flash, animation and anything else it’s the way the font is written which really is impressionable and makes an impact of company on people. Just consider the example of Coco Cola it was launched in 1915, when not even computer existed but with simple drawing of font it create an impact on people‘s mind .Similar is case with MacDonald, with just M it created an impact on people mind.

For a good logo designer it’s really important is to concentrate more on Font less on background .As a Logo Designer, our main aim is to make the brand of a company popular but not to show our creativity. You can choose various fonts from graphic designer tools like Photoshop, Macromedia etc. There are some sites from which you can download various fonts and can edit them with Photoshop.

In the end, I would like to suggest to all graphic designer it’s great to use heavy animation in logos but we should never neglect the important thing “The Font” .You can still create a great attractive logo while using simple tools, apply some creativity to font and your logo is ready .No need to worry if you don’t know flash.
