Choosing the right Cologne for Men

Perfume is a word to describe woman’s fascination. Men too cosset in fragrances and perfumes as women. However, one cannot deny the fact that smell has an enduring capacity than to remember a face or a name of a person. Fragrance is a personal luxury. Men’s perfume is stronger than women’s perfume. This is to indicate the ruggedness of a man that took the form of Men’s Cologne. Colognes are referred as Eau De Toilette and are very strong in comparison to women’s perfume. Men’s Cologne conceals the body odor and keeps you attractive and fresh all the time.

Recently, cologne producers are persistently producing various Cologne brands such as spice, citrus, fruit, herbal, wood, leather and floral. Men’s cologne is made of three layers top notes, heart notes and base notes. Top notes are light associated with mint scent and vanishes quickly. The heart notes are strong scents lasting more than an hour. Base notes are mature fragrances and linger for a long time. As cologne is a combination of various ingredients, people should perceive the combination as it may cause reaction for people who have sensitive skin. Similarly, purchasing cologne by getting impressed with the bottle shape may prove to be disappointing.

Choosing the right cologne is a complex task as they are available in different size and shaped bottles, and as well vary in prices for the same fragrance. Moreover, some bottles have a label ‘Perfume’ while the same product has a label of ‘Cologne’ in another store. This includes a big price difference as well. In fact cologne is merely perfumed and highly diluted. So purchasing cologne in an atomizer is ideal as it is comfortable to put for work or for an evening. Perfumes that come in an atomizer are available in smaller size.

Always look for the label what it indicates ‘Cologne’ or ‘Perfume’. All perfumes have a blend of alcohol, so it evaporates as soon as you apply on your skin. The base not survives for a longer period of time. People who apply base note leave fragrance behind them even after they leave the room. Cologne has much alcohol than perfume, but is not very strong and does not remain in the air like perfume. The main variation in a perfume and cologne is in the price of the bottle and in the application to the skin. Perfumes that come with atomizers are useful in spraying. Applying perfume on the wrists and behind the ear is the appropriate way to use perfume.

Cologne can be liberally used than a perfume and is much preferred as it comes cheaper and in bigger bottles. Moreover it comes in an atomizer form. Perfumes are highly concentrated and come in small bottles without atomizers. Perfumes are usually very expensive. The scent of a same cologne and perfume may spread a different smell on the same person. This depends on the alcohol content and time taken to evaporate. To create a nice impression comprehend the difference of cologne and perfume and apply accordingly.
