Collecting comics has long been thought of as a kids hobby,but if collected smartly comic book collections could be worth an untold amount of money.A copy of Action Comics #1, the first appearance of Superman, sold for 10 cents in 1938. Today it could bring $1 million. Windfalls like that are extremely rare, but who knows what you might find in your parents' attic.

If you are wanting to sell your entire comic collection as a bundle it would
definantly help to have some first edition comic books or milestone comic books in your collection.

Probably the most important factor to consider when purchasing or selling comics is the codition of the books. You can protect your comics by keeping them in plastic sleeves with a piece of acid-free cardboard to assit with maintaining there shape. Always store your comic books in cool, dry places.

With the evolution of online auction sites such as ebay, selling comic collections has become quite easy. Also, consider attending comic book conventions to find potential buyers. There are several guides on the market that will assist with pricing your comic book collection. Comic books are graded on a scale from mint condition (flawless MT 9.9-10.0) to poor (very bad PR 0.5.)

Lastly, always stay afloat of what is hot in the local comic book shops. This will help you to guage what people are in to at the moment.
