Perhaps you could buy two or three pair of these gloves at once and keep the rest as backups.

These types of gloves are great for driving too. Those made of fabric, if kept dry, will help keep your hands warm when you touch the steering wheel in the car, but if they are made of leather, they will repel the cold even better, especially if they are lined with fur.

Have you ever driven with fabric gloves and had the steering wheel slip from your hands while driving? Needless to say, this can be very dangerous.
