Reverse Phone Lookups - Finding People By Phone Number

By: Adolph K. Reekie

There are probably countless times where you have wanted to find more details about a mystery phone number. You might want to investigate a suspicious number on your spouse's phone, or track down a prank caller.
The good news is that it is in fact possible to lookup cell phone numbers and find out about the owner. So where do you find places that do this? Read on...
Plenty Of Promises, Few Results...
There are many websites around the web that offer phone number lookups. All you have to do is enter the area code and the 7 digit number, and the system will scan a database of millions of records. Then, the system will give you all the information you'll need to know about the owner - from their name, address, relatives, birthday and more.
Unfortunately, this rarely happens. With free services you are unlikely to find the information you need, unless you are looking up landline home numbers. If you want to look up a cell phone or unlisted number you're out of luck. Other free "services" won't even give you landline numbers, and you won't find out any of the information you need.
The reason is because free services only scan public domain information, and cell phone numbers are not listed in the public domain. If you want to look up private or cell phone numbers, you'll have to go for a paid service.
What Do Paid Services Have To Offer?
There are a number of really effective paid services. These will not just scan landline numbers, but also cell phones, VoIP numbers and unlisted numbers. They'll also give you a whole ton of information about the owner. While free services will just give you the owners name and address, paid services can give you name, address, relatives, neighbors, birthday, occupation and more.
Some of the really good paid services also give you access to other databases, such as people records. Pay a small onetime cost, and you'll be able to perform an unlimited number of searches, across a large number of databases. You could scan every single number on your spouse's phone if you wanted to.
These services do exist, and they can be well worth looking at. Just keep in mind that while there are some great places, there are also a number of junk services that won't do you any good. You just need to know where to look.
