Ukraine is situated in Central Europe and it is a unitary state. There are 24 provinces that named “oblast” are included into this country, but there are also two urban districts which are considered to be separate districts: the capital of Ukraine – Kiev and Sevastopol. Ukraine has a semi-presidential republic. It has lived after an orange revolution in December 2004. Now the system of government in that country has a very interesting structure: the power is divided between several branches of authority. Ukraine borders on Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Moldova and Hungary form the west, Turkey form the south; the Russian border is the longest one it is from North and East. There are 2 mountain systems in Ukraine: Carpathian and Crimea, Crimea mountains are younger and lower. Through the territory of Ukraine flows Dnieper, which is considered to be one of the longest rivers in Europe. Owing to the river Ukraine has the most of its hydroelectric power. The winters owing to the mild climate are not very cold. It snows often and most rivers become covered by ice. The rain is frequently observed in summer commonly but in general, summers are very hot.

Agriculture is the area that is quite developed in that region. It is produced by such favorable climate conditions. Actually, Ukraine is believed to be an agricultural region which permanently exports sugar, corn, vegetables and other products to more than 110 countries. Kiev is one of the oldest cities in Europe. It was established approximately in the 5th century and has got long and interesting history. That was the small town which became the center of Slavic civilization in the Eastern Europe. The decline of growth of Kiev was produced by the Mongolian invasion in the 13th century, the city was completely destroyed for a quite long period. In the 20th century Kiev was the capital of Ukrainian Soviet Republic that was included into the Soviet Union. It was a great chance for Kiev to become a prominent city again. Nowadays the population of Kiev is about 3 million people. According to the censuses the population is quickly growing year after year. We can not even approximately count the number of different nationalities that are comprised into this amazing city. Not less than 120 ethnic groups live here. During the 70s and 80s, the city saw stable growth in population that in turn reflected in the development of real estate. Among yellow and grey blocks of flats created modern downtown buildings. During several last years Kiev has gained the status of full-fledged European city with many expensive restraints and luxury hotels.

Ukraine economy gains power after the time of post Soviet problems. Today Ukraine is very respectable country which is known not as a region of the Soviet Union, but as autonomous country. Experienced economical foretellers say that Ukraine will become a participant of WTO in a very short time.
