Why Hiring A DJ For Your Next Corporate Event Can Be A Slap In The Face

By: Steve Meade

Festivities and fun are just around the corner. Yes, holiday season will soon be here and it's time to plan for your company holiday party! Yeahhh! Oh Dread!

I know, I know, you go to all the trouble of hiring an expensive caterer to plan a nice meal for your employees, you rent a really great banquet room, you plan your skits, you get your awards and recognition lined up, and then you make the BIG MISTAKE... You hire another DJ.

Are you like most companies? Have you had a dj for the last umpteen years in a row, and wondered why as soon as your dinner and awards is over - the DJ starts up - maybe 6 people go out and dance - and everyone else splits! They're gone - vanished - poof!!!

Of course, you can just try to explain it away, and say things like, "Oh, they must have had to get home to relieve the sitter", or "they must just be party poopers". You may be right, BUT, when you're really honest with yourself, you realize (from the sneaky comments that follow for the next 6 months by the water cooler at work) that your employees were really just bored.

The bottom line is they are SICK of having the same old party. They actually can start to resent management, because they feel like you don't care, almost as if you're slapping them in the face with the same old boringness.

Employees want to feel appreciated, they want to feel that they matter to your team -they want to feel a part of the family.

There is a solution. Hire some professional entertainment at your next party. For example... You could hire a funny (yet clean) corporate comedian, or a hilarious hypnotist, or a great comedy magician, or mentalist, or even a rocking good band!

There are thousands of highly professional live entertainers that would make a big - positive impact on your next corporate entertainment event - AND - they're not even that expensive when compared to a DJ. For example: A typical DJ for a corporate party will run anywhere from $500 - $1000 a night. Did you know for only a few bucks more, you could hire a comedy hypnotist for around $1000 - $3000. A great stand-up comedian can be also be hired for anywhere from $800 - $2500. Although good bands can be slightly higher ($1500 - $5000), the impact they will have on the morale of your employees, is immeasurable.

So do yourself a favor this year - get on the net, do a bit of searching and find a great entertainer for your next event! The result will be nothing short of a thousand laughs, smiles, and thank you's!!!
