struggling with angels/signs

Postby sarah2303 on Wed Jan 13, 2010 4:10 pm

After reading many topics, & even posting things myself, i'm still struggling to understand Angels. Maybe i'm just a slow learner lol.
I've asked countless time, for some guidance. Sometimes not anything in particular, just to look out for me (when i've been going through a difficult patch) & i've asked for a sign that they're with me. Nothing. With some people's stories, finding bright white feathers in their home etc, makes me feel like i'm doing something wrong. Most people seem to get really slap-you-round-the-face obvious signs, while I get none.
I'm still unsure whether mentally saying "angels, please guide me" is enough...do i need to write a long (ish) letter explaining what I want help or guidance with? Do I need to pick an Angel out & hope he's my guardian? Or do all Angels rally round at a time of need?
Any help will be greatly appreciated :?

Hi Sarah, I think Gena or one of the others may be able to give you a better answer to this question than I could, but while I was reading your post I was thinking that maybe your angels were seeing you handling your 'difficult patch' just fine and didn't need to let you know they were there... I believe angels are with us all the time, but only reveal themselves when we really need them. I still ask them to help me at least once a day though... :D

Sarah,Angel energy is really very subtle! just ask for a sign from your angels, that they are with you and guiding you through your day, then forget it,the signs will come when you are not looking for them :) as for the feathers they are usually really tiny white ones which you may have overlooked, sometimes its a shiny penny on the pavement,a song on the radio or a line in a book, just remain open and see what happens :)

Ahh I struggle with that. I tend to make my Angel requests at night for the following day, so sometimes when the morning comes i've forgotten them..including the signs i've asked to see. But signs are meant to show themselves to you aren't they? That even if you've requested your Angels or a CO then used the ask & forget technique, you should remember it when your sign jumps out at you?
Because when I look for signs, people tell me i'm reading into random things that don't mean anything? :S

Thought I'd tell you this one....
Was at work on Monday and had been looking through some fabulous books (all very kindly loaned to me by Gena!)the night before
I had been avidly reading a book about angels and I sent up a message asking for a sign
On Monday afternoon I got a phone call at work from an Insurance company. The guy on the other end of the phone had a lovely voice and was very charming. When I told him my name he said "Ah...just the person I need to speak to...my name is James Angel!!!! It was so bizarre, especially as I had been asking for a sign and for my guardian angels name!

:) Yep! that sounds like a sign to me Elaine! I think its a case of just being open to signs and not thinking'was that a sign? or not?' you just have to accept it,what a fabulous name! James Angel! :)
