Well, I've only gone and done it!
The other night, I had a lucid dream.
I was in a street somewhere when I realised that I was dreaming. My first thought was to meet Albert Einstein, and I walked through a tent-like entrance to a huge shopping centre type of place. The people in here were all familiar, or people I haven't seen for ages, doing things I wouldn't have expected them to do. I was greeted by Anne Robinson.
I think after I realised I was dreaming, I instantly forgot again (in my dream) and then the dream went it's own way, rather than me controlling the dream (and meeting Albert Einstein). Goodness knows what I would have asked him if I had met him - I'm now thinking that this was part of the dream too, and the only 'lucid' part was where I knew I was dreaming...
Ooh this hurts my head. I suppose it's a start though that I recognised I was dreaming when I was asleep - although for the briefest of moments - and I remembered that I had recognised it when I woke up. I do need more practice!!!
